Capital projects involve the construction / expansion of plants and / or installation of equipment both to produce a new product and to maintain or expand operating capacity. As they usually involve long terms and a significant amount of money, they also present a high risk. Planning and executing investments effectively and efficiently is no easy task. Budget over 20% and delays over 50% are not uncommon in companies around the world. Among the various causes, it is worth mentioning the deficiency in management. This book presents a model that seeks to make the processes that follow the definition of investment goals in strategic formulation efficient and effective. In other words, a model that allows the choice of the right investments and the correct execution of the projects (doing the right thing right).
